  1. Hey, I’m really enjoying much of this actual play, but I have to mention that I’m having a very hard time stomaching the constant food sounds. The audio quality of your recording is fantastic — love the binaural mic — but unfortunately that means the fidelity of the salivation and myucking and crunching and slurping is right in listeners’ ears.

I know you’re already years beyond this episode, but I thought I’d let you know that at least some listeners have this reaction; are made physically ill when the players snack constantly during sessions. For example, I had to skip from about 19:00 to 33:00, and 37:00 to 49:00 due to Dr. Webber’s incessant macerating of hummus crackers and M&Ms. Seems like a nice guy and all, but I was praying for him to stop.

There have been many other such intervals up to this point in the campaign.

I stopped listening to the Serenity game after an episode which began with someone eating soup from a bowl that sounded right next to the mic.

I’m sure your players wouldn’t accept a “no snacking” ban at this point, and I understand you may be playing during a lunch break, but perhaps a reasonable solution might be to place eaters a little further away from the mic? Or just ask them to be conscious of food noise? Perhaps try to curb chomping after the first 15 minutes? Am I possibly the first to mention this, and therefore unusually sensitive? It’s certainly a peeve of mine, but I suspect I’m not the only one for which this is odious.

The occasional cell interference is excusable. The dog barks are endearing. The food sounds — are utterly sickening.

This is truly meant to be constructive feedback. The quality of play and Keeper-ing is otherwise top shelf!
